CM-Consult, LLC and the Rational-Tools.com project are pleased to announce the following solutions:
- UML2ClearQuest. This tool simplifies the process of transforming UML logical diagrams (state charts and activity charts) describing change request's lifecycle into the ClearQuest Designer scheme. It also allows performing reverse transformation of the CQ scheme into UML logical diagrams with automatic validation. The tool supports IBM Rational Software Architect, MS Visio and StarUML.
- CQlite - the secure client for ClearQuest. This tool allows the project owner to grant limited access to project data stored in the CQ base to remote teams involved in the project. It also allows exporting bug reports in .xml files to distribute them to remote teams to edit them in MS Excel and send back for automatic synchronization with the CQ base. Using this tool, you can ensure confidentiality of the project data, since it allows authorized access only. The tool supports IBM Rational Software Architect and MS Visio.
- PDA testing – the component for IBM Rational Robot and RFT to automate functional testing of Pocket PC applications. It allows performing tests on a PDA directly in a real-time mode. Testing can be run on several PDAs simultaneously via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB.
- ClearQuest ProjectTracker – state-of-art MS Project (or MS Project Server) and ClearQuest integration module which provides bidirectional collaboration keeping the full hierarchy, overall resource data and all dependencies. When working with the MS Project plan, the module allows importing all available resources from the CQ base. ProjectTracker is an essential tool for the effective project management.
- OpenView and ClearQuest integration solution (with required services). This solution helps to automate the process of transferring SW development requests or SW change requests from HP OpenView into ClearQuest. It also allows receiving receipts by OpenView upon the ClearQuest request.
Add-ons/plug-ins for ClearQuest simplifying routine procedures within ALM cycle:
- Module for visualizating ClearQuest requests as state charts. This add-on can be embedded into any CQ scheme. It allows generating an UML diagram for a request of any type (change request, bug report, task or enhancement request) in a real-time mode. In such diagrams, the current state of a request and its transition mainstream are specially highlighted.
- Module for vizualizating the hierarchy of ClearQuest change requests. This add-on allows visualizing either a hierarchy of one request type (for instance, a task and a subtask) or that of different request types (BaseCMActivity, a bug report, a task and a subtask). The descriptive structure of the hierarchical tree can be easily adjusted. The tool also supports a recursive addresses (all dependent requests are automatically scanned through in Reference Lists).
- Module for role-based regulation of change request access rights. This add-on represents an implementation of the role-based approach to change request processing. It is compatible with any CQ scheme and allows defining resource roles for every project and reallocating rights on-the-fly, especially if running several projects within one ClearQuest user database.
